Hart Sports Tournament

Thankfully in the middle of my internship, there was the Hart Sports International Exposure Tournament. This tournament was going to be held in Las Vegas, and have some premiere talent play in it. This tournament was going to have scouts from over 30 countries and NBA G-League affiliates. This tournament is also invitation only, meaning Deshaun had to be accepted in order to compete. For this tournament, we saw a need to develop a flyer to market Deshaun and his accomplishments. We wanted to get him on the radar of organizations before the tournament began. After developing a flyer to market his accomplishments and include links to the video we had made, we disseminated that information to all the organizations we knew were going to be there. These teams showed some interest in Deshaun and said they would get back to us following the tournament. Unfortunately we did not get any information from any clubs, so we had to go back to the drawing board in order to gain interest. Invitational tournaments are really hard because they are looking for players who are the right age, right size, right skillset for their team. By the time these teams come to this tournament, their rosters are almost all full and they are only looking for developmental players or young players they can mentor.
