After creating the marketing material and knowing the history of Deshaun, I went to work trying to get his information to as many organizations as possible. The initial attempt was made to contact various professional organizations overseas. This experience really opened my eyes into how many teams there are playing professional basketball overseas. Almost every major country had some sort of professional basketball. I was given a list of countries to try and get a tryout with. The list of countries I contacted was quite diverse. The first five were Austria, Finland, Holland, Germany, and Belgium. These five were chosen because they were where Deshaun wanted to play the most. Of the five, only Belgium replied back with information about each team. I contacted every team within their country with no luck. Since this did not play out in our favor, I contacted Italy, Spain, Croatia, Lebanon, and Denmark. A lot of these countries had shutdown their leagues due to COVID so it was very tough. After that I was given France, Germany, Algeria, Argentina, and Denmark. These countries again were hard to get a hold of because of COVID. I kept trying to gather as much information as possible from federations and gauge interest just in case they resumed play or a door was opened for Deshaun.
